Description of Services:

ATC is an Expanded Level AAC Clinic designated by the Ministry of Health Assistive Devices Program (ADP) to provide AAC services for individuals who have physical limitations that affect their face-to-face communication, and/or affect their ability to use a regular keyboard and/or mouse. Our AAC team will provide assessment, prescription of communication/writing aids, and training and support as appropriate.

Services are provided by occupational therapist, speech language pathologist, communicative disorders assistant, and technologist.

Augmentative and Alternative Communication Program (AAC) (Progression) Programs and services for people dealing with communication challenges due to neurological and neurodegenerative conditions * provides assessment, treatment and training for all communication challenges as well as assistance with ADP applications for funding and for purchasing communication devices * services provided by speech language pathologists, communicative disorders assistants, occupational therapists, and technologists

Elkie Adler Multiple Sclerosis Clinic (Progression) Outpatient clinic specializing in assistive devices and home modifications for people with Multiple Sclerosis * offers speech pathology, kinesiology, and a gait lab

Jeff and Diane Ross Movement Disorder Clinic (Progression) Education sessions and rehabilitation treatment for people with Parkinson's disease and other movement disorders * focus on improving functional abilities to cope with daily challenges * services provided by neurologists, nurse specialists, dietitians, physiotherapists, occupation therapists, speech therapists, pharmacists, social service workers, and technical team

Spasticity Management Clinics Assessment, consultations, and treatments for people with spasticity * This condition can impact those with various neurological conditions, including stroke, brain injury, multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, and spinal cord injury * treatment and services include:

Eligibility - Population(s) Served:

Adults (age 18 years+) with neurological and complex musculoskeletal disorders. Individuals with developmental delay or severe cognitive deficits are excluded.
