Description of Services: Respiratory Therapists treat a variety of breathing related problems, including:

  • chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
  • asthma
  • pneumonia
  • tuberculosis
  • pulmonary fibrosis


Care is provided to patients in:

  • critical care
  • emergency departments
  • labour and delivery
  • diagnostic testing departments
  • private homes

Patients are provided with both Inpatient and Outpatient care

Outpatient services:

  • Asthma Education Clinic - (located at Peel Memorial and Etobicoke General)
  • Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease Services - (Virtual services)
  • Pulmonary Function Lab - (located at Brampton Civic and Etobicoke General)
