Rehabilitation to help a person regain functionality after an amputation * treatment is offered around the amputation area, seeking to improve flexibility in joints and muscle * helps individuals become more comfortable in using their new prosthetic and to learn to improve overall balance and mobility Amputee physiotherapy and rehabilitation is managed by a team of health professionals such as physiotherapists, massage therapists, occupational therapists, and – in some cases – psychologists |
